As good a reason as any....

Was talking with a friend today, and she suggested I start a blog seeing as how I'm leaving in a week to go on exchange in Strasbourg - a far cry from this silly city in Ontario. I figured, well, it's as good a reason as any - plus I've always kind of wanted to start my own blog... maybe this is my excuse! I can't really see how people stick with these things though, I try to avoid my computer most of the time as it is since I get glued to Facebook and checking emails and instant messaging.... And now this!!!
In theory this seems like a great way to let everyone know what I'm up to, without having to send out the mass emails that resemble newsletters and that really are kind of impersonal since you're sending them to so many people you don't want to offend anyone... Well I guess I should warn you..... reader-people...... that this blog could very possibly get offensive at some point or other, so don't bother getting attached to me if you like to keep things PG.
Anyway I promise that if I actually come back and write more stuff on this thing that I will post my pictures from my trip (my goal is to post photos on Facebook/otherwise at least once a month...), and give you the juicy details if I ever end up getting mugged!!! Well then!!!
Well Ranadoo I told you I would blog if you did, so blog away, and give me your.... "url"? So that whoever reads this can see what incredibly interesting and lovely friends I have, hahah!
